Kast XRP Ledger Card, explained: RLUSD, XRP, destination tags and getting money out

The Kast XRP Ledger Card is the KAST Visa card funded over the XRP Ledger. KAST takes RLUSD there with no KAST fee and converts XRP on arrival. Deposits need the destination tag the app shows, and withdrawals leave on another network.

What is the Kast XRP Ledger Card?

The Kast XRP Ledger Card is the regular KAST Visa card, topped up with RLUSD or XRP sent over the XRP Ledger. KAST doesn't issue a separate card for it. XRPL is one of the 13 networks in KAST's deposit list, and whatever you send lands in the dollar balance the card spends from.

In a July 2025 reply on X, KAST pointed an XRP holder to the card as a place to spend XRP gains, with a screenshot of the RLUSD deposit screen on XRPL.

How to deposit RLUSD on the XRP Ledger to KAST

RLUSD, Ripple's US dollar stablecoin, is the only stablecoin KAST takes on the XRP Ledger:

  1. In the KAST app, tap Receive and choose Stablecoin.
  2. Pick RLUSD, then XRPL from the network list.
  3. Copy the address, and the destination tag or memo if one is shown.
  4. Send RLUSD on the XRP Ledger from your wallet or exchange, with the tag.

KAST charges nothing and credits it 1:1 in dollars. At least $1 has to arrive after network fees. RLUSD also works on Ethereum, covered on our Kast Ethereum Card page. If you don't have an account yet, start with our Kast Card sign up page.

Sending XRP to KAST

XRP is on KAST's convert list and was named in the October 2025 update that opened deposits to more than 25 crypto assets. Choose Crypto in the Receive screen, pick XRP and copy the address and tag.

The app shows an indicative price, sells whatever arrives for stablecoins and shows the conversion fee before you confirm, usually 2% to 5%.

Destination tags for XRP deposits

KAST says XRP deposits need a destination tag or memo for the money to be credited. Exchanges call the field Tag, Destination Tag or Memo; whatever the name, paste in exactly what the KAST deposit screen shows.

Forget it and the deposit can be delayed. You will need to contact KAST Concierge with the transaction details so they can match it to your account by manual review. XRP Ledger addresses start with an r, so they are easy to tell apart from addresses on other networks.

Getting money out when the XRP Ledger is deposit-only

KAST doesn't send out on the XRP Ledger, and it doesn't send RLUSD out on any network. Withdrawals leave as USDC on Arbitrum ($0.20 + 0.1%), Solana ($1 + 0.1%) or Ethereum ($6 + 0.1%), or as USDT on Solana, TRON or Ethereum. The minimum is $5.

Our Kast Solana Card page covers the most common route, and every charge is on our Kast Card fees page.

Spending XRP Ledger funds with the Kast Card
