Kast Card review: what the ratings say
Each platform attracts a different reviewer. App store ratings come mostly from people who just signed up; Trustpilot fills up after something goes wrong. Read side by side, they agree on where KAST is strong and where it isn't.
What the Kast Card is
The Kast Card is a Visa card from KAST that spends a US dollar balance you fund with stablecoins such as USDC and USDT. There are three tiers: the free Standard card, Premium at $1,000 a year and Private at $10,000 a year. All of them pay cashback in dollars, and the paid tiers add KAST Points. The app around it now also gives you US and EU bank details, so it works as much like an account as a card.
We score it 3.8 out of 5. That number is the average of five things we weigh: fees, rewards, the app and sign-up, support, and how account reviews are handled. The first three score well, and the last two bring the average down. Our Kast Card overview covers how the product works in detail.

Why the ratings differ so much
On 10 October 2026, KAST stood at 2.4 on Trustpilot from 222 reviews, 4.0 on the US App Store from 271 ratings and 3.7 on Google Play from about 3,100 reviews. The App Store number also changes a lot by country: 4.3 in the UAE and the UK, 4.0 in Brazil, 3.5 in Indonesia and Turkey.
The gap is mostly about who writes. A star rating on a phone usually comes right after sign-up, when the app is new and the card works. A Trustpilot review is more often written by someone with a problem, which is why 61% of KAST's are one-star and 34% five-star, with almost nothing in the middle. The written reviews on both app stores lean negative for the same reason, even where the average looks healthy.

What users consistently like
Speed comes up first. People describe going from download to a working virtual card in a couple of minutes, and stablecoin deposits that land almost at once. Next is cost: no KAST fee on card payments in US dollars, through Apple Pay and Google Pay as well as the card itself. Several reviewers use the Kast Virtual Card for subscriptions and online payments that other crypto cards decline.
Cashback in dollars is the third theme, along with payouts to local bank accounts in countries where moving money abroad is hard. The longer five-star reviews come from people who moved their salary or daily spending into KAST and say it has simply worked.

What users consistently criticise
The most common complaint is an account put under review, restricted or frozen, with the balance held while KAST asks for documents. On Trustpilot's one-star page, more than half the reviews describe it, and it is the top complaint on both app stores. Some cases are fixed in days; others describe weeks of repeated requests.
Support is the second theme. Simple questions get quick answers, but people stuck in a review describe templated replies and the same document requests over and over. Smaller complaints follow: the $0.50 fee when a payment is declined for lack of funds, the 0.5–1.75% FX fee on other currencies, identity checks that reject some IDs, forced logouts on Android, and frustration among points holders after KAST dropped its token plan, which our Kast Card Airdrop and Points page explains.

The July 2026 terms dispute
In early July 2026, a public argument on X between ether.fi's CEO, Mike Silagadze, and KAST's CEO, Raagulan Pathy, started as a comparison of card fees and turned into a close reading of KAST's terms of service. As The Defiant and Crypto Briefing reported, those terms treat a top-up as a sale: you hand your stablecoins to KAST and get a US dollar balance in return. Crypto Briefing also reported a $500 cap on KAST's total liability to a user.
KAST updated its terms on 7 July 2026. You can still redeem an unspent balance, but the sale framing stayed. In practice, the coins you deposit are no longer held in your name and your balance is a claim on the company, which is the strongest reason to keep only what you plan to spend there. The same weeks brought the points change described on our Kast Card Airdrop and Points page.
How to avoid the common problems
Most of the trouble in reviews comes from compliance checks, so make them easy. Pass Kast Card KYC with an ID that matches your details exactly, keep your registered email and phone current, and have proof of address and a short source-of-funds explanation ready before you move large amounts. If a request comes, answer it from your registered email in one complete reply.
Keep a small buffer in the balance so a subscription renewal doesn't trigger the $0.50 decline fee, and treat KAST as a spending account: hold what you plan to spend over the next few weeks and keep savings in your own wallet. If something goes wrong, contact Concierge from the app; our Kast Card Support page has the channels and what to include.
Who it suits, and who should skip it
It suits people who already hold stablecoins and want to spend them like dollars: freelancers paid in USDC, people who travel and pay in US dollars often, and anyone in a country where getting a dollar card or account is hard. The free tier makes it cheap to try.
It suits less well anyone who needs guaranteed access to a large balance, such as a whole salary with no backup, or who pays mostly in other currencies, where the FX fee adds up. It is also not a credit card: you can only spend what you have deposited.

Are the paid tiers worth it?
Only if you spend a lot. Standard pays 1.5% cashback on the first $2,000 of spend a month. Premium costs $1,000 a year for 2% on the first $10,000 plus 1% in KAST Points, and it only beats Standard at roughly $5,700 of card spend a month. Private, at $10,000 a year, needs about $32,000 a month to overtake Premium. Our Kast Card tiers table and Kast Card fees page have the full numbers.

How we compiled this review
Ratings come from KAST's Trustpilot profile, the App Store listings in ten countries and the US Google Play listing, all read on 10 October 2026. The themes summarise patterns across many reviews: the one-star and five-star pages on Trustpilot, recent written reviews on both stores, Reddit threads and posts on X. Fees and times come from KAST's own help centre.
Our score is our own judgement, the average of the five ratings in the scorecard at the top. We earn a referral reward if you sign up with our code; it doesn't change the score.
Trying it with code 6MHGEMGE
The free Standard tier costs nothing, and the referral code 6MHGEMGE adds $20 after your first $100 of card spend and 10% off a paid membership if you upgrade later. Sign up through app.kast.xyz/

Ratings change daily; these were checked on 10 October 2026 from KAST's Trustpilot profile, the US App Store and Google Play listings, Reddit threads and posts on X. Themes summarise recurring points across many reviews rather than single posts.
