Kast Card in Pakistan: availability, rupee payments and cashing out to PKR

Kast Card is open to residents of Pakistan, and it is most useful for people who earn in US dollars or hold stablecoins: you can pay in rupees with a Visa card and send money to a Pakistani bank in PKR, with your first 3 payouts free.

Is KAST available in Pakistan?

Yes. Pakistan is in the KAST app's country list for sign-up, so residents can open an account, verify their identity and use the card. We checked the list in October 2026.

You may come across an old KAST help article from September 2024 that listed Pakistan as restricted. It is out of date. In 2026 KAST hosted an iftar dinner in Lahore with Superteam Pakistan on 28 February, opened PKR bank payouts in July and named Pakistan as an eligible market in its Refer & Earn Sprint from August to September.

Country support can still change, so the list you see at sign-up is the final word. If Pakistan is there, you can apply.

KAST is not a bank: your money sits as a US dollar balance with KAST, and the card is a Visa card that spends it. Our Kast Card FAQ covers how that works.

How to sign up for KAST from Pakistan

Signing up from Pakistan follows the same steps as everywhere else, and it takes about ten minutes when the identity check passes automatically.

How to sign up for KAST: create account, verify, deposit
Kast Card Pakistan sign-up steps
  1. Install the app through app.kast.xyz/referral/6MHGEMGE and create an account with your email.
  2. Pick Pakistan as your country of residence.
  3. Upload a government ID, such as a passport or your national identity card, and take a live selfie.
  4. Wait for the result. Most checks clear in 5 to 15 minutes; a manual review takes 1 to 3 business days.

Use the same name and details as on your ID, in good light, with all four corners of the document in the frame. Our Kast Card KYC page lists the usual reasons a check fails, and the Kast Card sign up page shows each screen.

What paying in rupees costs

A card payment in rupees costs an FX fee of 0.5% to 1.75%. Your KAST balance is in US dollars, so every PKR purchase is converted at checkout, and the app shows the fee before you confirm. Non-USD purchases under $25 may add $0.10.

On a Rs 50,000 shopping bill that works out to roughly $0.90 to $3.20 extra at October 2026 rates. Anything charged in US dollars, which covers many subscriptions, software tools, flights and online stores, has no FX fee at all.

Apple Pay isn't an option from Pakistan yet: KAST's Apple Pay list goes by your registered country, and Pakistan wasn't on it in September 2026. Pay online with the card details, or in shops with the physical card.

How to top up KAST from Pakistan

You fund KAST by sending stablecoins to your KAST deposit address. USDT and USDC both work, and KAST takes nothing on stablecoin deposits; the only cost is the network fee.

Choose a network your exchange or wallet supports and pick the same one in the app. TRON and Solana are usually the cheapest routes for USDT, and Solana tends to be the quickest, often under a minute. The Kast Solana Card page shows how to fund KAST from a Solana wallet.

Other coins such as BTC, ETH or SOL are accepted too, but KAST converts them to stablecoins on arrival for roughly 2% to 5%, so swapping to USDT or USDC first is normally cheaper.

Cashing out to a Pakistani bank in PKR

KAST opened PKR payouts in July 2026. Money goes out by IBFT, so it can reach any Pakistani bank account that accepts incoming interbank transfers; KAST names HBL, UBL and MCB as examples. Open Pay, choose Fast Payout, pick PKR, enter the amount and choose your own account or someone else's.

  • Fee: 1% FX plus $2 per payout. Your first 3 payouts are free, and so is any payout above $5,000.
  • Limits: Rs 500 to Rs 1,000,000 per payout.
  • Speed: usually by the end of the business day, later on weekends and bank holidays.
  • Checks: KAST may ask for proof of address or source of funds before your first payout.

The rate, fee and expected arrival are on screen before you confirm, and a confirmed payout can't be edited or cancelled, so check the account details first. Sending money home works the same way: add a family member's bank account as the recipient. KAST's help pages cover bank accounts only and don't mention JazzCash, Easypaisa or Raast.

Getting paid in US dollars as a freelancer

The Kast Global USD Account gives you a US account number and routing number inside the app. Clients, marketplaces and employers abroad can pay you as they would pay a US bank account, and the dollars land in your KAST balance. KAST offers it depending on your country of residence and the country of your ID, so check that it appears in your app before you share the details.

KAST virtual accounts support ACH and Fedwire transfers

Receiving costs $2 by ACH, $15 by Fedwire and $30 by SWIFT. From there you can spend the dollars with the card at no FX fee on USD prices, or send them on to a Pakistani bank in PKR with a local payout. The Kast Global USD Account page has the full details.

Using the KAST card at ATMs in Pakistan

A KAST ATM withdrawal costs $3 plus 2% of the amount, and the FX fee applies on top when you take out rupees. Each withdrawal is capped at $250, with up to 3 withdrawals or $750 per rolling 24 hours, and the ATM operator may charge its own fee.

The ATM is the most expensive way to get rupees out of KAST, so for anything more than pocket money, use a local payout to your bank account.

Crypto rules in Pakistan in 2026

Pakistan now regulates crypto services. The Virtual Assets Act, 2026, in force since March 2026, made PVARA (the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority) a permanent regulator for anyone serving users in or from Pakistan. Firms that were already serving Pakistanis had to apply for a no-objection certificate by 5 September 2026, and the first full licences are expected at the end of the year.

In April 2026 the State Bank of Pakistan ended its 2018 ban, so banks may now open accounts for licensed virtual-asset firms, although they still can't hold or trade crypto themselves. We found no public statement on whether KAST has applied for a PVARA licence, so follow PVARA's announcements if that matters to you.

Many people worry about bank freezes, because Pakistani banks have frozen accounts linked to peer-to-peer crypto trades in the past. A KAST payout reaches your bank as an IBFT transfer from KAST's payout partner, not from an individual trader's account.

Is KAST worth it in Pakistan?

KAST is worth it in Pakistan if you already earn in US dollars or keep savings in stablecoins. Deposits are free on KAST's side, card payments in rupees cost at most 1.75% in FX, and a payout to a Pakistani bank is a published 1% plus $2, with the first 3 free, which is easier to plan around than a peer-to-peer trade.

If you mostly need cash, it is less useful, because ATM fees add up quickly. Most people can start on the free Standard tier with a virtual card.
