Is KAST available in Argentina?
Yes. KAST is available in Argentina: residents can sign up, verify and use the card, and peso transfers are part of the app. KAST accepts residents of every country except those under sanctions, and Argentina is not one of them.
In July 2025 KAST named Argentina and Colombia its fastest-growing countries, and in November 2025 it went all in on Devconnect in Buenos Aires, with airport pickups for members and a party at Caramelo. The supported countries page has the full list.

How to sign up for KAST from Argentina
Signing up for KAST from Argentina takes a few minutes. Verify with your DNI or passport.
- Install the app through app.kast.xyz/
referral/ and create an account with your email, Google, Apple or phone number.6MHGEMGE - Choose Argentina as your country of residence.
- Scan your DNI or passport and take a live selfie.
- Wait for the check. Most clear in 5 to 15 minutes; a manual review takes 1 to 3 business days.

Moving pesos in and out of KAST
Moving pesos in and out of KAST is free for residents of Argentina. To add pesos, tap Receive, choose ARS Bank Transfer and share the account details; the money lands instantly and is converted to your US dollar balance. To send pesos, tap Pay, choose ARS payout and pay any CBU, CVU or alias.
Both directions run in real time, around the clock, including weekends and holidays. The minimum is 500 ARS and there is no maximum. Non-residents can still send pesos, but they pay 1.6%: a 1% FX fee plus 0.6% ITF tax. Every other charge is on our Kast Card fees page.
Paying Mercado Pago QR codes with KAST
KAST can pay Mercado Pago QR codes in pesos. Open Scan to Pay from Home or Pay, scan the merchant's code, check the merchant name and the amount in ARS, and confirm. Some codes carry the amount already; with others you type it in yourself.
It is available to accounts that have ARS payments switched on, in Argentina only. CBU/CVU payments still work alongside it, so if a code won't scan you can pay by transfer.
Paying in pesos with the Kast Card
Paying in pesos with the Kast Card works out at 0% FX on eligible purchases under KAST's LATAM FX Fee Rebate, which covers card spending in ARS and other Latin American currencies until 31 December 2027.
The usual FX fee may be charged at checkout; KAST credits it back in dollars, normally within a week. The rebate covers card purchases only, not transfers, deposits or ATM withdrawals. Apple Pay and Google Pay both work for Argentine residents.

Topping up KAST with stablecoins from Argentina
You can also fund KAST with stablecoins. Sending USDT or USDC to your deposit address costs nothing on KAST's side; you pay only the network fee. Solana is usually the quickest and cheapest route, and our Kast Solana Card page shows a deposit from Phantom.
Other coins such as BTC or ETH work too, but KAST converts them for a fee of roughly 2% to 5%.
KAST at Devconnect Buenos Aires
KAST was at Devconnect Buenos Aires in November 2025. Members could book a free airport pickup between 13 and 17 November, and on 19 November KAST hosted a Solid Gold Party at Caramelo, running from 10 pm to 5 am.
Its pre-event post pitched the card for the whole trip: book tickets, take the airport pickup and join the party on one card, earning points on every purchase.

Kast Card cashback and offers in Argentina
Kast Card cashback in Argentina is paid in US dollars: 1.5% on the free Standard tier, 2% on Premium and 3% on Private, with KAST Points on top of the paid tiers. Cashback goes up to 8%.
Argentina did well out of KAST's 2026 World Cup Matchday. 91% of players picked Argentina against Algeria and got 2x cashback for 24 hours; the knockout win over Egypt paid 3x, and the semi-final against England was offered at 5x for a correct pick. The Rewards tab shows what is running now.

Using the KAST card at ATMs in Argentina
A KAST ATM withdrawal in Argentina costs $3 plus 2% of the amount, and the LATAM rebate does not cover it. Each withdrawal is capped at $250, with up to 3 withdrawals or $750 per 24 hours, and the ATM operator may add its own fee.
For pesos in a bank account, an ARS payout is free for residents and arrives instantly.
Is KAST worth it in Argentina?
KAST is worth it in Argentina if you want your savings in dollars and still need to pay in pesos. Peso transfers are free and instant for residents, Mercado Pago codes work, card purchases in pesos work out at 0% FX until the end of 2027, and cashback is paid in dollars.
It is less useful if you mostly need cash, because ATM fees add up. Most people won't need more than the free Standard card; Premium and Private only pay back at high monthly spend.
