Kast Card in the UAE: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, paying in dirhams and cashing out to AED
Kast Card is available in the UAE, and the Middle East was KAST's top region in mid-2025. For anyone in Dubai or Abu Dhabi who keeps savings in stablecoins, it covers paying in dirhams, sending money to friends and getting AED back into a local bank.
Is KAST available in the UAE?
Yes. KAST is available in the United Arab Emirates: residents of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates can sign up, verify and use the card. KAST accepts residents of every country except those under sanctions, and the UAE is not one of them.
The UAE is also one of KAST's busiest markets. In July 2025 KAST named the Middle East its top region, and the team is often in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for events such as TOKEN2049 Dubai and Abu Dhabi Finance Week. Our supported countries page has the full list.

How to sign up for KAST in the UAE
Signing up for KAST from the UAE takes about ten minutes when the ID check goes through automatically.
- Install the app through app.kast.xyz/
referral/ and create an account with your email.6MHGEMGE - Choose the United Arab Emirates as your country of residence.
- Upload a government ID, such as a passport or national ID card, and take a live selfie.
- Wait for the check. Most clear in 5 to 15 minutes; a manual review takes 1 to 3 business days.
If you prefer Arabic, switch the app language under Account, then Language. KAST also runs in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish and Chinese. The full flow, screen by screen, is on our Kast Card sign up page.

What paying in dirhams costs
Paying in dirhams with a KAST card costs an FX fee of 0.5% to 1.75%. Your balance is held in US dollars, so each AED purchase is converted at checkout, and the app shows the fee before you confirm. Non-USD purchases under $25 may add $0.10.
On a 500 AED dinner that comes to roughly 70 cents to $2.40. Anything priced in US dollars, which includes a lot of flights and online services, carries no FX fee at all. You can also set the app to show your balance in AED.

How to top up KAST in the UAE
You top up KAST in the UAE by sending stablecoins to your KAST deposit address. USDT and USDC both work, and KAST charges nothing on stablecoin deposits; you only pay the network fee.
Solana is usually the fastest and cheapest route, with deposits landing in under a minute. Our Kast Solana Card page walks through sending from Phantom. Other coins such as BTC or ETH also work, but KAST converts them for a fee of roughly 2% to 5%.
Cashing out to a UAE bank in AED
Cashing out to a UAE bank with KAST costs a 1% FX fee plus a $3 transfer fee. It runs through KAST Pay: open Pay, tap Local Payout, choose AED and pick your own account or someone else's.
The minimum is 50 AED and the money usually arrives the next business day. The fixed fee is a dollar higher than for most currencies, so one larger transfer works out cheaper than several small ones. Our Kast Card fees page compares every payout currency.

Sending money to friends with KAST Tag
KAST Tag is the free way to send money between KAST users in the UAE. You pay by tag, email or phone number, the money arrives instantly, and you can send up to $10,000 a day.
KAST's Abu Dhabi film shows a transfer at Etihad Arena landing before the conversation is over. For people who don't use KAST, a local payout to their UAE bank does the same job for $3 plus 1%.

Using the KAST card at ATMs in the UAE
A KAST ATM withdrawal in the UAE costs $3 plus 2% of the amount, and the FX fee applies on top because the cash comes out in dirhams. Each withdrawal is capped at $250, with up to 3 withdrawals or $750 per 24 hours, and the ATM operator may add its own fee.
If you need more than pocket money in dirhams, a payout to your bank costs less.
KAST offers and events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
KAST offers in the UAE come and go with campaigns. In December 2025, card payments got 50% to 100% off tickets to Ferrari World and the Louvre Abu Dhabi. That offer has ended; the app lists what is live.

In person, KAST has hosted evenings in Dubai and during Abu Dhabi Finance Week, and joined TOKEN2049 Dubai and SEZ Dubai with the local Solana community.

Is KAST worth it in the UAE?
KAST is worth it in the UAE if you hold savings in stablecoins and want to spend them like dirhams. Top-ups are free, card payments in AED cost at most 1.75%, cashing out to a UAE bank is a flat 1% plus $3, and the app works in Arabic.
If you mostly need cash it is less useful, because ATM fees add up. The paid Premium and Private tiers only pay for themselves at high monthly spend, and most people do fine on the free Standard card.
