Kast Card airdrop and KAST Points, explained

KAST Points are the rewards KAST adds to card spending on its paid tiers. For two years they were sold as an airdrop ahead of a token launch, and that plan has changed.

What the Kast Card airdrop is

The Kast Card airdrop is the name people give to KAST Points, the rewards balance in the KAST app. KAST itself used the word: in November 2024 it described its Rewards Program as an airdrop programme for early users and loyal customers, and its posts talked about stacking points before a TGE, a token generation event.

The points themselves are only a number in your Rewards tab. KAST's terms say they are not cash, currency, property, securities, investments or tokens, and you can't sell, gift or transfer them. What they will turn into is still unsettled, and KAST's answer in October 2026 differs from the one it gave in 2024.

Is there a KAST token or a TGE?

No token launch is planned for points. KAST's help centre now says it is no longer planning a standard token launch for KAST Points, because it doesn't want community rewards treated as tradable instruments. That is a clear change from January 2025, when KAST's posts asked how to "ape into $KAST before TGE".

Instead, KAST is working on a structure that could let eligible members take part economically in the future, where the law allows. Its target is Q4 2026, and that date depends on legal review, local regulatory analysis, documentation, board approval and implementation. The points threshold for taking part hasn't been set. For smaller balances, or in countries where the structure can't be offered, KAST says it may offer an alternative redemption or a fixed-value cash payment.

How KAST Points are earned now

Since May 2026, KAST pays its main card rewards as USD cashback, and points sit on top for the paid tiers only. Premium earns points equal to 1% of eligible spend and Private 2%. KAST's own example: $1,000 of eligible spend earns 125 points on Premium and 250 on Private. The free Standard tier earns 1.5% USD cashback but no points on spend.

Points come from eligible card payments. ATM withdrawals don't earn them, and a payment that is later refunded, reversed or disputed loses its points. Our Kast Card tiers table compares the three memberships, and the Kast Card fees page lists what each one costs to run.

Bonus points for staking SOL

The second way to earn is the KAST Validator, KAST's own Solana validator. It charges 0% commission and passes 100% of MEV back to stakers, so you keep the full staking reward. If you also hold a KAST Solana card, you get bonus points every epoch, which on Solana is roughly every two days.

The bonus depends on your tier: 0.125 points per staked SOL per epoch on Standard, 0.25 on Premium and 0.5 on Private. Stake 100 SOL and that is 12.5, 25 or 50 points an epoch. Your SOL stays in your own wallet; you stake it natively from Phantom, Solflare or Backpack, and unstaking takes about one epoch. Our Kast Solana Card page has the full setup.

Redeeming points for Premium or Private

Points have one use you can rely on today: membership. During the current redemption period, 25,000 points pay for Premium and 250,000 points pay for Private. You ask KAST Concierge to do it, and a request can take up to five business days. Our Kast Card Support page shows how to reach Concierge in the app.

It takes a lot of spending to get there from zero. At Premium's rate, 25,000 points need $200,000 of eligible spend; at Private's, $100,000. Before May 2026, cashback itself was paid in points, at rates KAST advertised as high as 15%, so balances grew much faster then. KAST says it may add other options later, such as spend, upgrades or vouchers, each with its own terms.

What a KAST Point is worth

Officially, nothing in cash. Over the years KAST has put numbers on points: a "notional value of up to $0.03" per point in 2024, and a "Valued up to" dollar figure under the balance in the app in 2025. Today's example works out at 8 cents a point (125 points for 1% of $1,000), but KAST says plainly that this reference rate doesn't make points cash and creates no right to payment.

The membership swap gives a second yardstick. Premium costs $1,000 a year, so redeeming 25,000 points for it values each point at about 4 cents. Whatever the future structure pays will depend on its final terms, which nobody outside KAST knows yet.

How the points programme has changed since 2024

KAST announced points in June 2024 for a start on 1 July, run in seasons, with Season 1 covering July and August. Through late 2024 and 2025 it added multipliers: 2x and 3x points over the December holidays, a double-points week for Eid, double points on travel, and "Spendtember", which paid 3x on spending above $30,000 a month. In June 2025 it also listed one-off bonuses, such as 10,000 points for buying a premium card.

Leaderboards came with that. In 2025 the app gained a top-10 ranking of points earners and referrers, and KAST posted the leaders, with the top account above 17 million points. Later leaderboards moved to daily USDC prizes for referrals.

The $MOVE campaign

In December 2025, KAST teamed up with the Movement network and paid an extra 4% back in MOVE tokens on card spending, on top of points. MOVE collected in a separate Bonus Rewards card in the app. That campaign has ended. If you still hold MOVE there, go to Rewards → Bonus Rewards → Withdraw and send it to a wallet that supports the Movement network, such as OKX, Razor or Nightly. KAST charges nothing for this; the network fee still applies.

Checking your balance and missing points

Your points balance is in the Rewards tab, listed separately from USD cashback. The KAST Points screen has a How it works button and a disclaimer section called "Reward points, value & risk", which is where KAST keeps its current wording on what points are.

Points don't always show up straight away. If some are missing, check that your tier earns points, that the payment was eligible and has fully cleared, that it wasn't refunded or disputed, and that your app is up to date. If the balance still looks wrong, send Concierge the date, merchant, amount, your tier and a screenshot of the Rewards screen.

Points, accounts and closing an account

Points belong to the account that earned them. They can't be moved to a new account or merged with another one, and closing an account forfeits whatever points are in it. If you are thinking of starting over with a new account, use or redeem your points first. KAST can also change, suspend or end the programme under its terms.

Fake KAST airdrop sites

An airdrop that hasn't happened makes good bait. A site or a direct message that asks you to "claim" KAST tokens, connect a wallet or log in to release rewards is a scam. Points appear in the app on their own, and KAST never asks for your password, recovery phrase or a deposit. Check any link or account on KAST Verify first; our Kast Card Support page covers the common tricks.

Starting with code 6MHGEMGE

Points only start with a paid tier, and the referral code 6MHGEMGE takes 10% off your first paid membership, on top of $20 after your first $100 of card spend. It costs nothing and doesn't change your fees. Sign up through app.kast.xyz/referral/6MHGEMGE and the code is added for you; our Kast Card sign up page walks through the steps.
